Veneers
Dental Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin that are custom made to fit over your teeth. They make teeth look natural and healthy. Because they are very thin and are held in place by a special, strong adhesive, very little preparation of the tooth is needed.
Veneers are designed to improve the appearance of
- Stained teeth
- Discoloured teeth
- Chipped teeth
- Align crowding or protruding teeth
- Close gaps between teeth
The dentist will remove a small amount of the tooth surface to allow placement of the veneer. An impression is taken of the tooth and sent to the dental laboratory. The veneer is then made to fit the tooth and the mouth. The veneer is bonded to the tooth with resin cement approximatively 10 working days later.
