Dentures
Dentures are custom made replacements for missing teeth and can be taken out and put back into your mouth. While dentures take some getting used to, and will never feel exactly the same as natural teeth, today’s dentures are natural looking and more comfortable than ever.
We provide the following types of modern denture:
- Acrylic: Acrylic dentures are dentures that are made with a plastic-type of material. It is an easily moldable material, which makes it a good candidate for dentures as they require changes over a period of time. Acrylic is a common material used for partial and complete dentures.
- Flexible (valplast): Unlike more traditional ridged, bulky and unstable dental materials Valplast flexible partial denture is made from a flexible plastic material that fits neatly into your mouth and is virtually invisible. They do NOT require any unsightly metal clasps to keep them in place.
- Metal based (chrome) :
Cobalt chrome dentures are comfortable, the most hygienic and hugely strong. They are smaller, thinner, and more streamlined than their acrylic counterparts. Oral hygiene will be improved because there will be less food debris and plaque build due to the tighter fit. - They also offer the best grip – clasps can be tightened to increase grip – and consequently a better chewing experience.
